Fetih Tekstil aims to use science and technology at every stage of production to ensure environmental sustainability. The company is also committed to raising awareness among customers, suppliers, employees, and all other related parties to mitigate environmental impacts.

In the scope of environmental management, Fetih Tekstil fulfills all legal and compliance obligations, adhering to national and international environmental and social standards with an innovative approach. The company effectively plans and manages environmental impacts during all its activities.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Our regular activities include the disposal, recovery and, reuse of all wastes generated within Fetih Tekstil as specified in the regulation. In all our facilities, waste is separated and recorded according to its type (hazardous and non-hazardous). In 2020, we achieved a waste recovery rate of 79%, with undergoing regular storage 18% and 3% being recycled.

During the same year, 18% of textile waste was recycled into fiber, and 26% was repurposed into yarn, thereby contributing to the circular economy. Our priorities include waste reduction, higher recycling rates, and creation of opportunities for reuse.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT

In today’s world severe climate changes are underway, and Fetih Tekstil is contributing to environmental sustainability goals by using I-REC certified clean energy.

As a result of Fetih Tekstil’s Sustainable Development, Corporate and Supply Chain Sustainability goals, the step we have taken in line with the United Nations’ 17 Basic Goals is of great importance in terms of Accessible and Clean Energy. Our corporate policy is based on nature-conscious production and responsible consumption. Moreover, we approach every company we cooperate with from an accountability perspective.

Thanks to I-REC, Fetih Tekstil shared information about its clean energy resources and utilization in the 2021 corporate sustainability bulletin due to traceability and accountability.

CHEMICAL MANAGEMENT

Fetih Tekstil carries out its collaborations with stakeholders in accordance with the established quality standards, transparently, and within the framework of ethical principles. The storage, usage and waste management of chemicals used within the company are carried out within the framework of the specified laws and standards. Our commitment to ensuring that all resources from suppliers align with principles respectful of human and nature. We do not use prohibited or restricted substances in any of the products and inform and inspect our suppliers to show the same level of sensitivity.
